Session Outline
- This session is designed to give a first taste of the work in disentangling from Imperialism and Colonialism.
- Regather, greet.
- Practice Centering Prayer.
- View Videos for Session 10 below. The videos range from introduction to Imperialism to an in-depth look at the cultural disintegration of the United States and rise of corporate imperialism. Participants may want to view the longer videos on their own. or several sessions can be devoted to viewing and discussing the videos.
- Read and follow the steps in Chapter “Dismantling and Disentangling from Imperialism and Colonialism.” Do each exercise and discuss thoroughly what arises within each person. What are the points of resistance? What are the “Ahas?” What are the points of personal connection?
- Reflections, reactions, reticence, and relishing.
- Wrap up the session by considering what each participant feels called to pursue.
- Close in Prayer.
